Her and her sisters taught babies who could not even walk yet how to make graceful movements with their hands. This was in early 1900s in San Francisco. She passed in France in 1927. Her educational philosophies were little understood but she was ahead of her time in early childhood education and she is known as the precursor of modern dance such as the famous Balanchine ballet.
