Another unique and talented featured artist for November 2014: contact dcastroarts@csiri.org
for more information on ordering numbered prints from dcastro's original works of art. This Portuguese Brazilian painter sells his art on the Venice Beach Boardwalk and lives in the building where the Director grew up where Isadora Duncan once lived and danced before her tragic death in 1927 in Paris France. This soulful dancer and educator taught how one must go into their soul within before doing anything else. Greek philosophy, classical music, Celtic folklore: all influenced this precursor of modern dance such as inspired the Ballanchine ballet vignettes.
Dcastro is a brilliant up and coming artist. His first gallery exhibit was in a Santa Monica restaurant in 2011; his second showing was in the Brazilian consulate in Santa Monica, CA. February 4th is his birthday! Below is a small sample of his work, available as signed and numbered prints in a series including samba, isadora Duncan, and cosmic characters matching poetic dreams and visions shared in cosmic cyphers and blissful dreams on dancing waves and crystal visions in the light...Look for his work on Thornton Ave. and the Boardwalk in Venice Beach, CA, USA.
